Description of Incident: A pet Guinea Pig "" was accepted for transport in Miami, FL (MIA) destined for New York, NY (JFK). The guinea pig was accepted in apparent good health with all required documentation present. Sky was transported to the aircraft in MIA and loaded without incident. Sky was recovered from the aircraft in New York and held in the live animal room where he was noticed unresponsive. Sky was immediately remitted to Veterinary custody for evaluation. Veterinary services at Cornell University determined Sky was deceased.

Cause of Incident: Veterinary examination did not identify a cause of death.

Corrective Action Taken: No corrective action taken - Gross examination does not reveal the cause of death in this case.
