Hawaiian employees contacted a veterinarian and arranged for transport to the veterinarian’s office, but the pit bull expired before he could be transported. With Owner’s authorization, a necropsy was performed and report provided to Owner as well as cremated remains of the pit bull.

Cause of Incident: Pending Investigation.

Action Taken: Hawaiian is conducting an investigation of the incident and as part of such investigation will be reviewing its policies, procedures and handling of the pit bull to determine whether any corrective action is warranted.
