February 2015 Airline Pet Travel Report

The February, 2015 Airline Pet Travel Report contains pet incidents for the month of December, 2014.

United Airlines reports the loss of a cat and the injury of a dog.

On a flight from Munich, Germany to Chicago, IL a cat named Cat Sith escaped its kennel and when the cargo doors were opened for unloading the cat escaped. At the time of the report, the Cat Sith has not been found. United stated: "shipping container appeared to be in good condition however, we are raising awareness to ensure releasable cable ties are well positioned to minimize successful escape attempts from the kennel."

A Labrador Retriever on a flight from Washington, DC to Las Vegas, NV arrived with scratches on its muzzle and paws. The dog was treated by local veterinarian and released in good condition.
