Pet Relief Area

The designated pet relief area at Des Moines International Airport is located outside the terminal by the parking garage, north of the skywalk. This area is intended for use by ticketed passengers traveling with pets or service animals. The small fenced area includes a fake fire hydrant to accommodate pets.

Accessibility and Guidelines

• Only ticketed passengers traveling with a pet or a service animal are allowed to have the animal in the airport.
• Pets must be kept in a carrier at all times while inside the terminal.
• Passengers should contact their airline for specific policies and fares related to transporting pets in cargo or traveling with a pet or service animal.
