NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION

Description of the Incident: Pet arrived San Diego deceased upon arrival.

Description of the Cause of the Incident: A necropsy was performed and the cause of death was undetermined, but with self-inflicted injuries present. Dog said to not travel well and died early in flight on Saturday with necropsy performed Monday. Histologic changes compatible with those produced by advanced autolysis hampering a critical evaluation of the submitted tissues.

Description of any corrective action taken: None as the cause of death was not related to United Airlines’ handling.
