Incident 1 of 1: Carrier: Alaska Airlines Flight: AS15 (Boston, MA to Seattle, WA) Date of incident: January 5, 2015 Time of incident: 11:30 PM PST Type of Incident: Injury Description of animal (including name): A Pit-Bull named Thunder of unspecified age. Narrative description of incident: On arrival in Seattle, ramp personnel working flight 15 inbound from Boston-Logan International Airport reported that a Pit Bull dog named Thunder had partially damaged the kennel it was traveling in and had sustained minor injuries to his gums. A supervisor with Alaska Airlines contacted the passenger who inspected the animal for additional injuries in which none were discovered. Narrative description of the cause of the incident: On arrival ramp personnel reported that a dog had damaged their kennel and had sustained minor injuries to his gums. There is no evidence to suggest that the airline’s handling contributed to the animal’s injury.
