Alaska Airlines personnel informed the owners who requested that Alaska Airlines transport the animal to their final destination of Kalispell, MT. The owner took the Maltese home for final disposition. Narrative description of the cause of the incident: One of two Maltese dogs traveling as companions passed away in flight. There is no evidence to suggest that the airline’s handling contributed to the animal’s death.
